11 May According to the Bible, Who is Your Master?
Romans 6:16 says, Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his servants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of obedience unto righteousness?
Jesus said in Luke 16:13, No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other, or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other….
I read today of a baby that was in a stroller being pushed by the mother when suddenly a grown man smashes the baby in the face with a suitcase causing facial lacerations.
I read today of a golfer who shot and killed a dog because the dog, doing what dogs do, grabbed his golf ball.
Those were servants of Satan doing what he told them to do. We have been reading everyday about his servants obeying his horrific commands all across the United States and the world. I thank God that I am no longer the servant of sin and his wicked commands. His main command is to not follow Jesus, but to follow him (Satan) to a devil’s hell. Satan’s agenda is strictly to steal, kill, and destroy and he is doing it in enormous numbers.
If you have not repented of your sins and following Jesus, then, yes, you are Satan’s servant. Maybe you are not smashing babies in the face with suitcases or killing dogs, but you’re still following his command to not follow Jesus.
Ecclesiastes 12:13 says, Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.
If you are not keeping his commandments, then whose servant are ye?
