27 Feb We Must Be a Mirror
But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord. 2 Corinthians 3:18
People ask if a person needs to be a Baptist to get into heaven? Or maybe a Catholic, or Buddhist, or Muslim, or Methodist, or Presbyterian, or …….? It’s none of those things. I’ll tell you what you ought to be. You ought to be that scriptural glass, a mirror! That’s right, a mirror. We must be a mirror.
When we stand before Christ on that Judgment Day, we’d better be a mirror. We’d better reflect Christ when he looks upon us. Church title, membership, donations won’t mean a thing! We must reflect the image of Christ. Don’t forget that there is no sin in him, no filth, no falseness. When Christ died on the cross for us, he died as a sacrificial lamb. He stood between God and man to reconcile us back to God. Only those who accepted his son as their personal savior will get by at the judgment. Those who truly accepted the son will have their image changed into his image.
At the judgment, Christ will again stand between God and man. He already said (John 14:6), “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” The way past the judgment is Jesus Christ. We must bear his image, his likeness, his life. If there is no sin in him and we stand before him with sin in us, then that is not a reflection of him. At the Day of Judgment, WE MUST BE A MIRROR!
